Manufacturing Assistant

The Role

Manufacture Nikwax products efficiently to the high standards and quality controls as set out by the Manufacturing Coordinator.

Your Responsibilties Will Include:

  • Producing bulk products in accordance with production schedules and company standards
  • Taking responsibility for the setup, operation, and shutdown of equipment during manufacturing runs, and demonstrating proficiency in using all other machinery
  • Implementing stock rotation for bulk products
  • Maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety in the manufacturing area and equipment, while adhering to safe working practices and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per company standards
  • Promptly reporting any machinery faults or health and safety issues to the company.

This position involves manual tasks, including heavy lifting, and handling chemicals. Comprehensive training will be provided, and the necessary PPE will be supplied.

Due to our rural location near Wadhurst in East Sussex you will require your own transport.

We Are Looking for an Individual Who:

  • Is a collaborative individual with a keen eye for detail
  • Has previous experience in a production or manufacturing setting
  • Is open to working with chemicals (comprehensive training will be given)
  • Already has proficiency in forklift operation would be a plus
  • Has knowledge of Health and Safety standards is desirable
  • Has an educational background equivalent to GCSE level in Maths and English.

The Rewards

  • A competitive salary of £26,500 per annum
  • Standard 37.5 hour week Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00

Filling & Packing Assistant

The Role

Fill, label and package Nikwax products to meet production schedules, by following the processes set for the production of Nikwax product.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Setting up and shutting down equipment for filling runs.
  • Promptly reporting any machinery faults, unsafe conditions, or practices to the company.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, tidiness, safety, and adherence to safe working practices in the Nikwax Filling & Packing areas and equipment, while using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with the company's established standards.

We Are Looking for an Individual Who:

  • Ideally has experience in a production environment, though this is not a strict requirement.
  • Demonstrates a friendly and cooperative team spirit.
  • Exhibits conscientiousness and attention to detail.
  • Holds a minimum educational qualification of GCSE level (or its equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Possesses basic computer skills.
  • Thrives in a dynamic team environment.
  • Is motivated to achieve daily filling targets.

You will be working in a Production environment between two sites within a 5 mile radius of Wadhurst, East Sussex; due to the rural locations you must have your own transport.
